Superintendent

Groupe Frare Gallant, general contractor in specialized construction, is looking for a site superintendent.

Your Mission:

By becoming the new Site Superintendent at Construction Frare Gallant, you’ll have the opportunity to work for a major player in project management in the agri-food, industrial and commercial sectors. You will be entrusted with major projects, and will be responsible for bringing each one to a successful conclusion. The site superintendent ensures the smooth running and daily monitoring of the worksite. He is responsible for the mobilization, start-up and demobilization of the worksite. Depending on the scale of the project, he may be assisted by a foreman. Your job will be to preserve the family atmosphere and strong team spirit that prevail within the work team. It’s thanks to everyone’s participation and hard work that we’re able to carry out ever more ambitious projects, while maintaining the quality standards for which Construction Frare Gallant is renowned.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Invite subcontractors and the project manager to the first site meeting;
  • Ensure that all subcontractors fulfill their obligations and meet their contractual requirements with regard to deadlines and quality;
  • Coordinate the activities of skilled labor and subcontractors on the job site;
  • Communicate with the project manager in the event of problems and find ingenious solutions to resolve them quickly;
  • Write various site reports;
  • Effectively manage materials received or to be received and ensure that delivery schedules and budgets are respected;
  • Document all jobsite activities and validate work quality; act as the contact person for occupational health and safety;
  • Work in collaboration with the prevention officer when he is present on site.

Ideal Profile:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a superintendent on large-scale institutional, commercial or industrial building construction projects;
  • Experience in a similar position;
  • Excellent management skills;
  • In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety;
  • Valid driving license and access to a car.
