Your Mission:

The Project Director supervises all stages of a construction project. From start to finish, the smooth flow of activities rests on their shoulders. Supported by a competent team, they manage resources on-site with skill and efficiency.
Your extensive experience in project management allows you to handle the most complex situations with calm and confidence. Your leadership is unquestionable. Making tough decisions, finding ingenious solutions, and managing conflicts are all part of who you are.

More specifically, you will have to:

  • Manage and coordinate the project’s human resources and logistics with the help of the project manager and superintendent;
  • Plan and control construction costs;
  • Schedule and monitor work progress;
  • Negotiate and award contracts to subcontractors;
  • Work with the project manager to ensure site safety;
  • Check shop drawings;
  • Manage change notices;
  • Coordinate site meetings;
  • Establish and maintain the necessary communications with subcontractors, professionals and the customer;
  • Approve subcontractor and supplier invoices, and ensure customer invoicing;
  • Archive end-of-project documents and prepare end-of-project manuals for submission to the customer.

General skills

The ideal person is :

  • An engineer in construction or civil engineering with 10 years of experience in the field;
  • A veteran in the construction field: 20 years of experience in managing large-scale projects.

You possess:

  • Knowledge of the following software: Office Suite, Outlook, Maestro, AutoCAD,
  • Excellent proficiency in French and English, both written and oral;
  • Strong communication skills;
